SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites My pleasure. It's just off the motorway next to Baginton airport. I went once as a kid, but it was so much more meaningful as an adult with a plane fixation! Where abouts do you live BTW? 07-06-05 11:31:06 _____________________________________________________
tonyfarrell3 ::: Favorites I live in Peterlee, County Durham which is about twelve miles south of the North East Aircraft Museum. The Midlands museum looks to be on a par with my local one. I too have a love of planes born out of a rampant hobby of aifix modelling when I was a youngster, ( I'm 48 now- oh woe!!!) thanks again Tony 07-06-06 09:46:07 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Do you still get up to any airfix? 07-06-06 13:15:26 _____________________________________________________
tonyfarrell3 ::: Favorites Yes, occasionally when I have time though I did spend a lot of time building second world war planes with my son when he was between 8 and 12, he's 19 now! In fact, just recently, I picked up an old spitfire airfix model complete in its' box at a car boot sale for just a quid! I haven't had the time yet to build it though. 07-06-15 01:59:07 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Ah yes, I just made an airfix mk.1 myself. The proportions are spot on, it probably is airfix's best kit and one of if not THE best spitfire mk.1 kit in 1/72. Theres one on my shelf that I (well my dad) made when I was little, pretty terrible. But I made this new one really up to scratch. Part of preparation for a 'spitfire evolution' video I will eventually upload. 07-06-15 06:44:54 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Another thing, they are pretty hard to get hold of. I'm really impressed you got it for a pound! I finally located one in my local hobbycraft. Rare for such a classic airfix. 07-06-15 06:47:14 _____________________________________________________
tonyfarrell3 ::: Favorites I also managed to get a matilda tank again by airfix and again complete in its original box and yes again just a pound! I'll look forward to the spitfire evolution video as I have now subscribed to your site. 07-06-15 15:01:23 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Thanks, I have a Mk.1 (made), mk.viii, mk.ix, mk.xiv, mk.v - all on the go. 07-06-15 15:17:33 _____________________________________________________
tonyfarrell3 ::: Favorites All Hail the master of matildas! Sorry if I may have appeared to gloat, that was not my intention. Thanks for the correspondence, Bye. 07-06-15 20:35:15 _____________________________________________________
SmiertSpionem ::: Favorites Matildas? I meant spitfires but no worry. If you wanna make some kind of video about this Matilda/mastery of, consider me interested. 07-06-16 07:10:29 _____________________________________________________ |
