Description: Pilot "Of Fighters and Friends" The start of the show begins with Luke driving back to Stars Hollow after being gone for 5 years. While driving, he remembers when he and Lorelai used to drive around Stars Hollow in his car. At the same time, Lorelai is also thinking of this memory. She has just got engaged to Christopher but she is thinking about Luke. Luke arrives at Lorelai's house. Their conversation is awkward, having just been reunited after 5 years. Luke tells Lorelai that he missed her and he realized that she was a part of his life and he shouldn't have left so suddenly. Lorelai tells him that she's engaged and Luke leaves. The next day Luke visits the Inn and Michel comments about him returning. Then Lorelai comes down and Luke asks if he can speak with her. He asks her if they can try and be friends like they were before. Lorelai is unsure but then she says yes. When he leaves, she wonders what Christopher will say. Lorelai returns home and tells Christopher about Luke and how they're going to try and be friends again. Christopher gets jealous but Lorelai says there is no way she could avoid Luke in town and she misses being friends with him. Christopher yells and Lorelai thinks back to when they were younger when they fought over her being friends with Luke. Christopher leaves and Lorelai is depressed. Christopher downs his sorrows with drinks. He goes outside and he sees Luke. They walk up to each other in anger. They fight and they remember their last fight at a keg party when they were teenagers. Song: When You Were Young by the Killers |
