Schools should teach the subject, after all these kids are either going to work for a company (profit or non profit) or create their own path by owning businesses. Let's really teach them real life lessons. dancingsunlight ::: Favorites I spoke to DK personally about NCLB in '04; I drove all the way from Palmdale to Orange County to do so. Based on what he shared with me then, I don't think he'd support reauthorization today. He was appalled at the focus on testing, blaming, and punishing; he's focused on a position of support, not control. Cuma9 ::: Favorites It needs to be scrapped. Loads of schools did not make AYP yet only the poor schools that must accept Title One money are subject to the sanctions and restructuring. The achievement gap goes untalked about in non Title One Schools. I was pleased with all of the Democrats' answers about how NCLB needs to be scrapped and new initiatives have to be adopted.
