Description: I never thought I'd make this sampler. Almost two years ago I knew it had to be made, from the second I heard the song. And I knew that I had to be the one to make it, to do justice to this music and make sure that I did it right - to make something that people would remember. I set goals for myself that at the time seemed completely impossible, and even though I knew it might kill me I had to do it anyways. I trained every day. I tricked for hours until my joints gave way. I burnt my skin under the summer sun and I twisted frozen ankles on winter nights. I covered my feet, shins, knees, hips, shoulders, and elbows with rug burns, scars, and abrasions. I dislocated bones on several occasions. I crippled myself and stood in hospitals on crutches. I ate the prescription pain killers they gave me while I was driving to the gym, washing them down with energy drinks and blasting Coheed and Cambria with a shit-eating grin. I didn't think it was physically possible for my body to do this. I feel like I'm watching someone else's sampler. I couldn't imagine I would reach the goals I had set for myself 6 months ago until suddenly I started surpassing them and doing things few people in the world have done. This is the level I never thought I'd achieve. This is where I've always wanted to be. This is the sampler I have seen in my dreams every night for two long, hard years. This is my Welcome Home.
