yes350yes ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 06:09:12 I certainly enjoy all this trivia , but I have not seen anyone post anything of ruff n reddy , only the theme song. Guess Im telling my age. __________________________________________________
noahf67 ::: Favorites 2007-12-14 03:17:12 What a Rennaisance institution that CBS was.. The people that brought us Heckle & Jeckle on Saturday mornings in the same year released "Like A Rolling Stone". Astounding. __________________________________________________

HomeoftheGoodGuys ::: Favorites 2007-08-25 20:02:45 This was where "Mighty Mouse Playhouse" made its final season after 11 years since it first started on CBS-TV back in December, 1955. "Heckle & Jeckle Cartoon Show" was still in it's 9th year and it continued right up until it pulled the plug in 1971 due to the passing of Paul Terry and the demise of the Terrytoons Studio in New Rochelle, NY. __________________________________________________
blastingrod ::: Favorites 2007-08-21 10:02:06 I turned the age of 9 on my birthday in 1965 (December of that year). This is the point at which Saturday Morning t-v and rock 'n' roll music began to weigh its most powerful influence on my pre-teen years. I remember music about cartoons and Top 40 music in the 1965-1970 era (Maybe a little too much)! __________________________________________________
fromthesidelines ::: Favorites 2007-08-17 16:35:53 That was indeed the promo for CBS' Fall 1965 Saturday morning line-up [from 9am-12 noon(et)]. In fact, when ABC"s "THE BEATLES" beat "LINUS" in the ratings at 10:30, Silverman swapped "LINUS" for "LASSIE" repeats at 12:30pm(et), moving the latter to 10:30 by the end of the year, to no avail... __________________________________________________
Freenbean ::: Favorites 2007-08-11 07:18:37 This lineup was a disaster- most of the toons were old (Mighty Mouse was in its 11th year!) and CBS finished 3rd in the ratings. CBS responded by giving Fred Silverman $8 million and ordered him to come up with a new lineup that would return CBS to #1. The result was the 66-67 Super Saturday lineup, which restored CBS to the top spot. __________________________________________________ |
