In fact, when ABC"s "THE BEATLES" beat "LINUS" in the ratings at 10:30, Silverman swapped "LINUS" for "LASSIE" repeats at 12:30pm(et), moving the latter to 10:30 by the end of the year, to no avail... __________________________________________________ | |

CBS responded by giving Fred Silverman $8 million and ordered him to come up with a new lineup that would return CBS to #1.
