Indeed, Dougie is a Scot. I am befuddled as to why you used St. Patrick's day, aside from the obvios. Now, perhaps Dougie's rendition of Auld Lang Syne on Robert Burns's birthday would be more appropreate. Apart from that, great video, this was my first Dougie McLean song seven years ago.

The great Robert Burns was a Great Scot!! By the way, I'm actually part Irish with no Scot blood in me that I know of, but we love all the Celts! Hoping to go for a vacation soon to Ireland AND Scotland. Never been... Like to go to the Isle of Lewis, which Dougie talks about...

O boy.. ya don't have to lecture me on that. My last name (maiden name) was Scott and we were English, not Scots. It was hard to convince people I wasn't Scottish! LOL. And now I've married a Burns, Scottish, not Irish. So, now looks like I'm finally a Scot! :-)
